People ask me where I get my ideas from, the quirky animals, the strong colours and strange concepts, but I see them everyday in the street, the people I meet, the feelings I experience. At the end of every day I have hundreds of images fighting for my attention and the chance to be painted; quite often I get carried away with excitement and fill my sketchbook from cover to cover within hours, which although it can be emotionally draining, the flood of ideas each one linking the next, allows me to evolve my work on paper very rapidly giving me such a rich source of reference material.

About Peter

Peter is a self-taught artist who in 2005 decided to bring his work to a wider audience; working in the fashion industry for the previous 16 years has given Peter a great understanding of form and colour which when fused with contemporary living imagery provides powerful visual art to suit all tastes. Created using oils Peters work is gradually painted over a six week period to produce large canvas versions of his numerous illustrations and sketches. The size and composition of the originals give depth, clarity and a look that's difficult to pigeonhole but very accessible.

The 'Art of Surprise' was Peters first collection with his fine art publisher Washington Green and a steady increase in his popularity coupled with a flow of stunning new releases has contributed towards his growing success. After winning 'Castle Galleries Artist of the Year 2005', Peter Completed his first national tour in 2006 with his critically acclaimed 'Tails of the Unexpected' exhibition and has recently finished touring with his most ambitious and personal work to date - 'Far Beyond Driven' which earned him a runner up place in the Fine Art Trade Guild 'Best Up and Coming UK Artist 2007'.

After two years and four tours Peter's work has become highly collectable in many countries and can be sourced in the USA, Japan, Spain, Denmark and many other places throughout the world.
